Greedtone was founded by professional audio engineer Greg Williamson. Throughout the 90’s Greg was the sound guy for bands such as the Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate. 

The experience gained on the road massively influenced the next chapter of Gregs life, obsessing in overcoming common problems found in overdrive and distortion pedals.

Never settling for anything short of 100%, Greg set out on a relentless pursuit to achieve distortion pedal perfection. After years of tinkering, testing and research, we now have the Greedtone pedals.

 Jeff Hiatt has been a lasting part of the Seattle music scene since the early 90's playing for Bathtub Gin, The Lemons, Zeke, and Hellbound for Glory.

During a recording session in 1995 that Greg lead the engineering on for The Lemons, he and Jeff forged their friendship.

Many years later Jeff sought Greg's ingenuity for a specialized custom guitar amp. It was this piece of equipment that became the standard JHI-100, aptly named for his good friend.
